Profectum Foundation Appoints Tyler Choate as Director of Clinical Programs

Profectum Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Tyler P. Choate, MS, CCC-SLP as its new Director of Clinical Programs. Tyler began his role on June 2, 2025, bringing with him deep experience, leadership, and a strong commitment to Profectum’s mission and values.

Tyler serves as an Associate Faculty member at Profectum and has played a central role in numerous key initiatives including the Fall Conference, Masterclasses, the Visionary Lecture Series, and the development of the paraprofessional course.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tyler into this new leadership role,” said Ricki Robinson, Chair of the Board of the Profectum Foundation. “His deep knowledge of the DIR model, clinical expertise, passion for equity, and proven dedication to our programs make him an ideal fit for developing the future of Profectum’s clinical initiatives.”

Tyler is a Speech-Language Pathologist and Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant whose work is grounded in developmental, relationship-centered, trauma-informed, and justice-oriented practice. In addition to his clinical practice, Tyler is a community-based infant and early childhood mental health researcher exploring the impact of mental health consultation and reflective practice across the United States.

“I’m honored to step into this role and be part of Profectum’s next chapter,” said Tyler Choate. “Profectum’s work is uniquely positioned to support children, families, and practitioners in our collective work toward more relational practices and I’m excited to support our incredible team in building programs that meet the needs of this moment.”

The appointment of a Director of Clinical Programs marks an exciting new phase in Profectum’s evolution, further strengthening its DIR programming and its capacity to support clinicians, educators, and families around the globe.
