Introduction to the DIR® Model

In the Introduction to the DIR Model Course, you will explore the core components of the DIR model—Developmental, Individual Differences, and Relationship-based practice—and learn how these elements come together to foster meaningful growth in children and families across settings.

DIR® Mentoring Groups

DIR Mentoring Groups offer certified DIR practitioners and educators an opportunity to deepen their practice through small-group, reflective learning guided by expert Profectum trainers and Faculty.

Partnering with Caregivers: An Integration of the DIR and FAN Frameworks

Strengthening relationships with parents and caregivers is a core component of DIR® practitioners’ professional capacities. The Partnering with Caregivers training offers practitioners a framework for attuning to parents and caregivers on their DIR journey. Practitioners also use the FAN to deepen their reflective thinking; which is essential when centering DIR's parent-mediated intervention and coaching model.

Introduction to the DOLLI

The DOLLI (Gerber and Ricamato, 2023), a contemporary developmental language paradigm, can be used to understand the typical language acquisition process, assess a child’s profile of strengths and challenges in the foundations of language, and generate goals for children at various stages of language and communication development.

The DIR-FCD IEP Goal Bank

The DIR-FCD IEP Goal Bank is a guide used to support the writing of individualized DIR-FCD goals. It is a developmental scope and sequence of goals based on typical development and adapted to reflect the developmental needs of school-aged students (ages 3 to 21.)
